Forest Green has just released their newest single “Glass”. The song is Forest Green's first new music since 2020's “In Waves”.
"Glass was written from the perspective of serial killer who couldn’t emotionally handle falling in love with beautiful people," Says vocalist and primary song-writer Mark Duhaime. "He claimed to have constantly dreamed About murdering them all and I guess I just kinda found it interesting. Was kinda fun to step outside of myself and write a song from a different perspective."
“Glass” starts off really soft some reverb guitar then punches you with some distortion and heavy-footed drums. I am a big fan of the ‘over the radio’ sound for the vocals, giving on otherwise clean performance some distortion before going clean for the chorus. This song kind of reminds me of Marty Casey and The Love Hammers, a group whose unfortunately only ever had two releases. But some of my love for them lives on through “Glass” by Forest Green. I hope to see more from them in this vein.
