Weekend replay

OMG did u hear? wknd rply is back w new tunez XD check out this week’s Weekend Replay 2 start ur week off right :)
Kingston-based Al Olender kicks off this blend with “Almost Famous”, a vulnerable and cinematic song that indie duo Overcoats follow up with “Winner”, the titular track of their upcoming album set to be released in April of this year. Lana Del Rey chimed into the new releases this week with “A&W”, a truly dynamic and lengthy tune that keeps Lana’s streak of working with Jack Antonoff up with the track being co-written and co-produced by him. Xavier Ayy chimes in with “Hero Complex” which shows off the artist’s beautifully unique vocal talent. Desire, I Want To Turn Into You is the latest from Caroline Polachek and comes in at a dozen poppy tracks with highlights like “Pretty In Possible” and features from Grimes and Dido. FIDLAR’s newest single “Centipede” is out, and with angsty lyrics and overlapping themes, it feels impressively comparable to Sorority Noise’s “Using”. Pile’s 10-track album All Fiction just came into the world and showcases an impeccable diversity of style and range that the band possesses.

It seems like there’s a lot of desire in the air this week. On top of Caroline Polachek’s album, Screaming Females just put out Desire Pathway with super catchy, balanced, and elevated tracks like “Desert Train”. Girl Scout’s EP, Real Life Human Garbage, is here and shares two new songs from the band that are very representative of contemporary indie pop. Plus, Hodera’s single “Trying” shines a light on the other end of the indie pop spectrum. Eli Hurts pops into the scene this week with “Hot Shit”, a new single that’s fun, snappy, and illustrates the prospects for the artist. Korine’s Tear was also released this week and flexes a headstart into a new-New Wave.

“Rove” from Bullant shows up for representing the state of dance music this week. But then, Wesley Joseph tones things down a little with some mellow R&B on GLOW. A mini-EP from Feist, Multitudes, is out now and blends indie and experimental styles for a super interesting listen with stunning tracks like “In Lightning” that Avey Tare matches in tonality with the release of 7s.  Public Interest contributes to the post-punk sound this week with their newest single, “Undone”, and Dry Cleaning tags along for the post-punk ride with a double-single—Swampy & Sombre Two

Men I Trust and Free Range lead us into the end of the Weekend Replay this week with their releases of “Ring of Trust” and Practice respectively. @’s release of Mind Palace Music marks a fantastically fun and memorable release from the band. Then, Tinna Esperanza closes us out for the week with the beautiful album, Terror.
