Tula Vera releases new single “Astroplane”

Tula Vera

New Jersey Blues outfit Tula Vera recently released a bouncy new single, “Astroplane

The track opens with some subdued vocals and guitar arpeggiations, then employs a tasty tom fill to lead into the song’s verse riff, a chunky, palm-muted figure that ends with some crispy double stops. The bassist mirrors this part as well to pack twice the punch. After the verse, the chorus rushes in with booming power chords punctuated by raucous blues bends and licks. The vocals propel the chorus forward powerfully with catchy and soulful lines about “taking the train to the Astroplane.” Following the chorus is a brief, wah-soaked, guitar solo à la Jimi Hendrix. After becoming subdued again for a bridge section, the song is back to its old tricks with another crunchy verse and chorus that are just as enjoyable as the first ones. Finally, the track ends tastefully with a modulated drum fill that leaves the listener wanting more.

Fans of psych, blues, and good old-fashioned rock and roll will enjoy Tula Vera and have a great time with “Astroplane”.
