PREMIERE: Rookie Park’s “My Dog”

Austin, Texas-based emo rockers Rookie Park share their latest single “My Dog”. We honestly couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.

"Going through the motions of the post break-up day to day, the song is a bittersweet take on the reminiscing of a relationship. One where a pet played a major role in the partnership. The dog in question is Bella (as seen on the single cover art!), who’s been by my side the last 13 years and has unknowingly become the mascot for our band and a bit of an icon in our local [DIY]/emo scene!" says Joey Martinez.

"We took a very DIY approach when it came to creating the EP and with that came long hours of trial and error during the production process. Between finding time in our busy schedules to record and navigating the ups and downs of completing each mix, we’re beyond excited to share our debut tracks with our friends and everyone outside our local scene. Releasing music has been a long time dream of mine and that’s what this record is…a debut of expression for the music I’ve been passionate about over the years," the band shares.
