SONG PREMIERE: Gartenhead Releases “Self-Love Anthem”

Philadelphia based band Gartenhead releases their new single “Self-Love Anthem”

About Gartenhead:

“What began as a little seed in Albuquerque, was brought to Philadelphia by three childhood friends. As the project was planted and tended to by old buds, dynamic new members joined the effort to grow something potent, hearty and beloved. With Block’s devotion, Ehasz’s fervor, Lehman’s constancy, Montgomery’s mastery, and Bloome’s willful aestheticism, the sound is ever ripening into sweet, sweet fruit.

The project allows for fusion and experimentation, offering listeners the opportunity to be surprised yet experience that strange deja vu of nostalgia over something new. The sound itself is palpitating; sensual yet ethereal, hopeful yet unapologetically mortal. Written by friends, it is a far reaching sound that pulls authentically from the music that rests in the memory of the collective. The live project is capable of garnering audience spirit and invites those who watch unassumingly to partake in this camaraderie. As they reminisce and banter throughout the set, all present are quite unexpectedly invited into a brief moment of unification. This is what we look for when we search for something communal, sensory and inspired.

Whether it’s the sound itself, or the brotherhood that rings through it, the garteners undoubtedly know how to cultivate a good time. This current installment, Salt & Spit, captures the poignancy of the past, the buoyancy of new beginnings, and the earthly relationships that keep us grounded through it all. Addey S. Dominguez.”
