5ever has just released its latest single: “Anything More”

5ever

The Boston-based pop-punk band has just released their latest single.

Anything More is the band’s first fully original release in 2022, following the hyperpop remix of “Have a Great Summer” in June. But 5ever definitely hasn’t been wasting any of their time this year.

The band has been cutting their teeth playing with veteran outfit, New Found Glory, and the widely acclaimed group, Just Friends. Recently, they spent time in the studio preparing new material with Alan Day of Four Year Strong.

In 2021, 5ever released its debut EP, “Forever”, which featured finely-polished instrumentals and a surprisingly diverse range of songs. While the overall influence from 2000s pop-punk comes through clearly — fans of groups like Sum 41 and All Time Low will feel right at home — there were also notable dashes of hyperpop and metalcore that suggested the group was open to experimentation.

With its latest single, Anything More, 5ever has made a song that carries over the bright and animated melodies that were dominant on Forever. Lyrically, the track is brimming with optimism and a carefree attitude. It’s honestly hard to not get infected by the positivity.

It’s too early to tell if 5ever will be focusing on this sound for their next major project or if they’ll be moving in a different direction. Either way, they seem to be hitting their stride at an impressive rate.
