WEEKEND REPLAY 12/05

Welcome back to The Weekend Replay, here is this week’s newest music that you can’t miss.

Metallica returns with a new studio single, “Lux Æterna”, which kicks this week’s releases off with a bang, along with a fresh collab from AJJ and Laura Stevenson with the release of “The Baby Panda”. brakence and 100 gecs both make their long-awaited returns, with the releases of “hypochondriac” and “Snake Eyes” respectively, and 100 gecs even feature Skrillex on one of their EP’s tracks. For those who enjoy something a little more mellow, Eliza McLamb’s new EP brings a softer, bedroom pop sound to this week’s releases, and half•alive’s new album “Conditions Of A Punk” keeps that sound going. White Lung’s undeniable riot grrrl sound juxtaposes the softer indie tracks, bringing a ton of energy to this week’s new music with the release of their new album, “Premonition”

On the more independent end of releases, Hudson Valley’s Identity Crisis and The Field Service each just released self-titled debut LPs that introduce completely unique sounds to this week’s new music. Plus, our pal Tireek just put out “Baby Boy”, a new track with Nyzahir, and Shred Flintstone’s “love song” adds the essential upbeat/sad lyric energy to this mix. The emotions are sustained by piglet’s “it isn’t fair”. And Nematode released two back-to-back EPs with a total of 8 new tracks to check out.

And of course, if you’re starting to feel like you should be pumped for the holidays this year, but the traditional music around this time of year doesn’t really do it for you, don’t miss the holiday compilation record from I Surrender Records that features 9 totally unique holiday tracks.

Check out all of these new releases here, and check back in next Monday for more new tunes.
