RARE BLOOM RELEASES “mONTREAL sCREWJOB” MUSIC VIDEO
In the meantime, they recently released a new music video for their single “Montreal Screwjob” which was released in 2022. The punk band made the video from a collection of some amazing memories they’ve shared while making music and playing shows.
“Montreal Screwjob” features an energetic punk sound with matching vocals. I really admired the longer introduction of the song. For the first minute of the track, listeners get a taste of the energy from our musicians as it builds up. Once the instrumentals build up we are met with a set of vocals that keep that electricity flowing with inspiring lyrics. The band reminds listeners that “it will be ok in the end” and to “not lose hope” in times of struggle. About halfway through, the tone of the song changes and we are met with darker scream-style vocals that are very well controlled.
Rare Bloom’s release of “Montreal Screwjob” in 2022 was followed up by a new music video accompanying the track this August. The video is composed of some of the band's favorite memories from the past 3 years caught on a GoPro. Being in a band is far more than just playing shows and releasing music. It's also about all the in-betweens of creativity and fun with your bandmates. Through the video, you get to see the friendship that these musicians share as they go about their routines and how that friendship melds into their recording and shows.
I think by showing this side of the band it makes it easier for their audience to connect with them. When you see such raw footage from behind the scenes, you can better understand where their music is coming from. Rare Bloom isn’t just a bunch of guys who exist on a stage, they're a band of friends who enjoy making music together and want to share that with the world around them. The amount of energy and creativity we saw in the video is the same energy we can expect going into their future releases. With that being said, make sure to keep an eye out for Rare Bloom’s latest record on the way in 2024. The infectious energy of this band is something you don’t want to pass up.
